We welcome males and females of all shapes and sizes from ages 9-35 yrs. By teaching boxing skills we give an opportunity for today’s young people to have a positive focus in life. To motivate, encourage regular exercise and promote a healthy lifestyle and diet. Banbury Boxing Club opens a door for many people from all walks of the community to get involved in a fun, exciting club and make new friends.
Banbury Boxing Club was founded in September 2012 by brothers Ben and Tom Malcher and Mark Cooper and Dave Green. The club is proudly affiliated with England Boxing and is a club for competitive and recreational boxers.
We are a ‘not for profit’ charitable club run by volunteers and supported by donations, grants and member subscriptions. The main aim of Banbury Boxing Club is to offer affordable boxing classes in a safe environment for competitive boxers to train and compete in the sport of amateur boxing who might one day represent the Home Counties, England or even Team GB!
All of our coaches are certified and registered with the Home Counties ABA and England Boxing. They all have enhanced DBS/CRB clearance and current first aid certificates.
In 2014 we achieved Sport Englands ClubMark Standard. We are also affiliated to the Oxfordshire Youth which gives us access to diverse and exciting events and training programmes providing professional club support, education and activities for our young members.
